On July 13th, 2022, Lois went to be with her heavenly Father to join a host of family and friends waiting to greet her.
Lois Hill was born on October 24th, 1930 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Ted and Margaret Blankenship. Lois’s father, Ted, was a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox playing from 1922 to 1930. While in Chicago, he met Margaret Mary Flood who was a secretary to a movie producer. They married and together they had two daughters, Sallie and Lois. They later moved home to his family’s ranch in Atoka where Lois was born and raised.
Lois married Derry James Hogue in Atoka, Oklahoma and together they had one daughter, Phyllis Kay Hogue Anderson, born November 21st, 1948. Lois later moved to Edmond, Oklahoma and worked at Oklahoma City University where she influenced the life of many. She loved gardening and her dogs.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Phyllis, her sister Sallie, and the love of her life, Steve. She is survived by her two grandchildren Christopher Anderson, wife Lindsay of Edmond, OK, and Brant Lemmer, wife Jennifer of Dawsonville, GA, as well as 8 great-grandchildren, Faith, Raine, Wyatt, Laine, Rhett, Dax, Destynee, and Trust, and many friends.
