Kerry Leigh Wagner (Gossett), 61, Edmond Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Integris-BMC in Oklahoma City.
Born in McAlester Oklahoma on July 24, 1956 to Richard and Madalon (Sigler) Gossett. Kerry graduated from McAlester High School in 1974 and attended Stephens College for Equestrian Studies and later the University of Missouri – Columbia earning a BS in Education and Masters in Horticultural Education.
Kerry met her husband Robert in 1981 while attending school in Missouri, they were married on December 28, 1983. Kerry and Rob started and ran a Camera Store (Wagner Phototechnik, Inc.) in Columbia (1982-1989) before selling the store and moving to Oklahoma City in 1989 to begin Law School at Oklahoma City University to follow in the footsteps of her Grandfather, Father, and Brother in becoming a lawyer.
Kerry began her practice with the firm of Stipe, Gossett, Stipe, Harper, Estes, McCune & Parks; and started Wagner Law Firm with Rob in July 1997. Kerry enjoyed practice of law and especially the area of Workers’ Compensation giving her the ability to help the working people of Oklahoma.
Kerry exhibited great passion for children, horses, pets, cooking, bonsai, orchids, gardening and travel, but her life was not complete until the adoptions of: Richard “Kimber” Wagner (age 21), Kimberly Madalon Wagner (16) and John Christian Wagner (15).
Kerry was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, and older brother Daniel Brooke Gossett; and (in addition to her husband and children) is survived by her brother Joseph Lawrence Gossett, of Tulsa, sister Kim Louise Woodruff, of Eufaula, three nieces (Jessica, Kristen and Lauren Gossett), two nephews (Nicholas and Daniel Woodruff), many cousins and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 3rd, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm with service at 2:30 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 308 NW 164th St., Edmond, OK 73013, friends are welcome to attend.
