Carol Gibson Martin

Carol Martin was born in Hot Springs, AR on Oct 20, 1952 and peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on Jan 1, 2018. She passed away in the home of her only daughter and her son in law surrounded by family that cherished and loved her and remained by her side until Our Lord called her home.

Carol only had one child a daughter, Tamara Lynn Rice known to most as Daisy, who is married to Charlie Rice. Although Carol only gave birth to Tamara she did have a nephew, Kenny Box of Prineville, OR whom she has always cared for and loved as though he were her own son. Carol was also over joyed to accept Keith Wheeler of Earlsboro, OK as a sibling to her daughter after witnessing the loving bond and relationship between the two. Carol commented to her daughter that their relationship has obviously been nurtured over the years and she was thankful for his concern and love for her Tammy.

Carol also expressed how thankful and blessed she was for bringing Charlie and her daughter together resulting in their marriage.  She smiled and called the couple a perfect example of God fulfilling his promises and answering her prayers and displaying his blessings by uniting a beautifully perfect couple as an example of a truly honest and loving husband and wife in Christ. Carol referred to Charlie as " Her Charlie".

Carol was also so pleased to meet, and call Saundra Rice a sister in Christ and a friend. She only regretted not having her companionship longer. Carol loved Saundra’s love and hunger for Christ. She was also pleased to hear that Saundra loves her daughter for the person she is as well as a daughter-in-law.

Carol was a phenomenal mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend, but even more a faithful and devoted child of God whose wisdom of God’s Word, his promises, blessings, and scriptures will be greatly missed by those closest to her.

Carol was a woman of Great Faith and known for her love for Jesus and lifted up prayers daily for her family.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Gene Martin, her mother, Geraldine Martin, her sister, Linda Gene Armstrong and her brother, Joel David Martin.

Survivors include her only daughter, Tamara (Daisy) Lynn Rice and her husband Charlie Rice of Seminole, OK and their six children and five grandchildren; her nephew, Kenneth Box and family of Prineville, OR; her niece, Stephanie Charles and family of Hot Springs, AR.

As well as many friends and the church family of Fairland, OK.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be announced soon.
