William Vernon Conner

William "Connerbill" Vernon Conner was born on March 4th, 1945 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Lester & Carolyn Conner.

Bill attended Beaver schools from kindergarten to graduation, where he met and still has many lifelong Friends. One of Bill's greatest memories while attending BHS was his time on the football field with his teammates and being a part of 3 State championships, one in 1959, 1960, and 1962. Bill graduated from high school in 1963. He was also known by many to be quite ornery.

After high school, Bill attended Oklahoma State University. He earned a bachelor's degree in child psychology, and became a loyal and true fan of all things Oklahoma State. Anyone who knew Connerbill, knew they'd find him wearing his OSU ballcap.

After graduation at OSU, bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corp as a 2nd Lt. He was a field Artillery Officer, served in the Vietnam War and earned: National Defense Service Medal-Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with Star-Bronze 1, Vietnam Campain Medal with device-Air Medal with Bronze4. Semper Fi!

During his time in the military, Bill met Patricia Ann Berry. The couple married and resided in San Diego, California. They welcomed their daughter Courtney, June of 1975.

After the military, Bill went on to his career as a Broker for E. F. Hutton, and later became a business owner of a advertising company called Balloonboards. Bill was also an avid runner, competing in several races.

In 1985, Bill and Courtney moved from San Diego back to Beaver, Oklahoma. Where Bill spent time helping his dad on the farm, staying loyal and true to OSU and watching BHS sports.

Bill is proceeded in death by his parents, Lester and Carolyn Conner.

Bill is survived by his daughter Courtney and her husband Russ. Grandchildren Bailey, Chayce, Kynlee, and Adyson. Great grandchildren Exie, Sophia, Carlie, Hayzen, and Markee.
