Wanda Charlene (Ashmore) Goodman

Wanda Charlene (Ashmore) Goodman passed away on September 5, 2019 at the age of 86 after a brief illness.

Wanda Charlene Ashmore was born on July 1, 1933 in Cromwell, Oklahoma to Charles Ashmore and Zilla (Williams) Ashmore. She had 2 older siblings, Ada Jean (Ashmore) Adams and Allen Wayne Ashmore.

At the age of 4 the family moved to Cloudy, Oklahoma and later bought a farm in Sobel, Oklahoma. At the age of 14, she moved with her parents to Santa Rosa, California where both her parents worked in the shipyards during WW2. After a few years in California they moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Oklahoma City.

On June 30, 1950 she married Winfield Lawrence Goodman. the love of her life. They were married for 68 years and had 2 daughters.

Charlene worked as a Secretary for 25 years at Crooked Oak Schools. She was highly active in her Church helping many children through her Church work and through her job working at the school.

She liked going to the lake with her family. She enjoyed going on trips all over the Country to see new things. She loved being a Mother. After her retirement she devoted her life to her Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, her siblings and her husband.
