Vivian Mae Henderson was born December 13, 1944, to the parents of Walter and Nadine (Hall) Henderson in Oklahoma City, OK.
Vivian had many siblings Edith Henderson, Leon Henderson (Deceased), Geraldine Farmer, Laurene Ross (Deceased), Raymond Henderson, Betty Henderson (Deceased) and Mike Henderson.
Vivian attended Oklahoma City public schools and you better know that she bled orange being a mighty mighty Trojan at Douglass High School. Vivian also attended Rose State College. After graduating high school Vivian married this tall striking man from Millerton, OK., Richard M. Lee Jr. From this union they birthed 3 children, Walter R. Lee (Deceased), Saunders J. Lee, Sr and Theressa D. Lee-Taylor.
Vivian was a pillar to the community and was a member of numerous organizations in the 70s and 80s, as well as later in life. Her career began as a property manager at several apartment complexes, most remembered was the Wilshire Apartment complex. She then became a Realtor in the late 70s, and worked as a Broker during the 2000s until she retired in 2017. Vivian attended a few churches in Oklahoma City, until one day she heard about First Deliverance Temple. We remember hearing her tell her friends about the church that she was so excited about. This resulted in our family joining First Deliverance Temple within days. Jan 9, 1983, the late Bishop Vanuel C. Little, Sr. married Vivian and Edward W. Woodward Jr. Shortly thereafter Edward received orders to Wiesbaden, West Germany. While in Europe they traveled everywhere. I mean everywhere! Spain, England, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France to name a few. Their next duty station was in San Bernardino, CA at Norton Air Force Base. They were so excited because that move brought them to the city where her beloved brother and sister-in-law, (Ray and Valerie Turner) resided in. They enjoyed the opportunity to spend more time together.
Vivian loved her grandchildren, Byron II, Vivian (her namesake), Saunders II, Donovan and Payton. Knowing that all are college graduates made her proud. She was also proud of her God children Robbie Carpenter, Caleb Ivey and Micheal Johnson. Vivian had a host of nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and great greats.
Vivian will be missed by many.
