Thelma Louise (Collins) McKinney Jones

Thelma Louise Collins McKinney Jones was born April 19, 1956 to Warren E. Collins and Valeria Walstein Collins in Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from Douglass High School in Oklahoma City, OK in 1972. After high school she married Francis McKinney and to this union 3 children were born Tamara, Phillip and Brendon. She later met and married Randy Jones.

Following high school she worked various jobs. Later she pursued a career in the medical field and received numerous certifications that furthered her chosen field. After retiring she worked for the YMCA and Eastside Market. When Thelma united with Church Ablaze she found a spiritual leader and a church family. She always spoke of the love she had for Pastor Jonathan Hill and her church family.

Thelma was everybody’s mama. She always had sound advice based on God’s Word. She exhibited love on her job towards her co-workers and customers. Thelma showed God’s love everywhere she went.

Thelma transitioned from this life to be present with the Lord on November 7, 2024. Her parents and son Phillip preceded her in death. Thelma leaves to cherish her home going her daughter Tamara Tippens; sons Brendon McKinney, Cadyn Jones and Nathan Jones. Two granddaughters Brittnae and

Breonna Tippens. Three grandsons DeVante, Philip and Aaron McKinney. Great grandchildren. Two sisters Patricia Kyles (Mack) and Linda Warren. Family and a host of friends.
