Thelbert James "T.J." Huntley was called from labor to reward on January 6, 2015. The son of the late Oletha Jackson Huntley and the lateThelbert James Huntley, Sr. was born on
November 1, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas. His early childhood was spent in Oklahoma City where he confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized
uniting with the former Cooks Chapel CME Church. He later became a member of Greater Cleaves CME Church where he earned his Eagle Scout badge in Troop 248.
Thelbert graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School and soon after, was accepted into the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. After receiving an honorable discharge, Thelbert
attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Returning to Oklahoma City, he met and married Judy Jefferson while pursuing his passions of horses and photography.
Thelbert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Huntley; one step-son Kremeris Lewis; one sister, Loma Huntley Nelson and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel in Oklahoma City.
Cremation will follow the services.
