It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Stacy Bryant. She passed at her home in Wewoka, Oklahoma, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the age of 55 from the result of a car accident in August of 2023.
Stacy was born on January 29, 1970 and raised in Seminole, Oklahoma, where she spent most of her life. She attended Varnum schools and went on to become a Cosmetologist. Throughout her life, Stacy exhibited an unyielding commitment to family and friends.
Stacy was a devoted partner to Jason Leonard, a loving parent to Josh and grandparent to Hadley, Preslee and Jackson, and she was a loyal friend. Some of her dearest friends were David and Sherry Lucas Morris, Kerry (Blalock) Robertson, Branish Bowen and Carrissa Hopper.
Stacy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She would often stop at the Dollar Tree before seeing the girls and bring them lots of goodies. Stacy loved to laugh and have fun! She was strong and a little onery. Stacy was very stylish. Her outfits, makeup, and hair were always on point. Stacy had a green thumb and was a plant enthusiast. She had become an excellent cook. A good writer. Loved spending time with and playing frisbee with her dogs Marge (RIP) and Henry. She loved her church family. She was an avid user of using many emojis when texting and loved drinking Dr. Pepper.
Stacy is survived by her devoted, loving companion, Jason Leonard; her son, Joshua Morris; her grandchildren, Hadley Morris and mother Shanda, and Preslee Crowl and her mother Brittnee. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Also survived by her father, Gary Don Welt; brother, Scott and Sherry Welt, and sister, Gari (Welt) Curtis and Rodney; stepmother, Kaye Bryant, stepsister, Gayle (Bryant) and Bryan Hedrick; stepdaughters, Jessica Garcia and Josie Jo Klahr; nephews, Nevin Bryant, Collin Trae Bryant, Garrison Carrell, Jaden Mitchell and Jace Mitchell; nieces, Brennah Bryant, Karleigh Bryant, Bailey Rae Carver, Lincoln Klahr, Helena Klahr, Jessica Welt Nickell, Alyssa Welt, and Amanda Welt; great nieces and nephews, Conlee, Chancy, Leighton, Merek and Nash; uncle, Paul Redding; aunt, Sherry and Phillip Voghts and a host of dear friends.
Stacy was preceded in death by her mom, Phyllis Redding, her grandparents, Norma and Dean Redding, her brother, Timothy Bryant, Stepdad, Jack Bryant, Stepdaughter, Jerra Leigh Hollingshead and step grandson, Jackson Hollingshead.
A celebration of Stacy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2pm at The Lord’s Community Church, 501 N 5th Street, Seminole, Oklahoma of which she was a member, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. We find comfort in knowing that Stacy is now at peace, watching over us with love. They will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Stacy.
