Shirley Lorine (Rusher) Bolt

Shirley Lorine Bolt (Rusher), 81, of Oklahoma City, OK went to be with the Lord in Oklahoma City, OK on June 1, 2021.

Shirley was born October 9, 1939 in Fort Smith, AR to her parents Elmer Roscoe Rusher and Laura Florine Pace. Shirley attended her grade school years in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, OK.  Later attending an education & vocational center in a Nursing program in Oklahoma City. She graduated in 1975 as an LPN and begin working in a hospital. She married at 17 and had two children before finding the love of her life Jackie Bolt and having six more children. She was a grandma to 19 grandchildren and a great grandmother to 30 along with several others she considered just as much. Shirley was a devoted Catholic and always kept her faith. She had a green thumb, whether it was gardening or planting flowers. She loved spending time with her family cooking for holiday gatherings, playing bingo, or teaching you to play cards. The latter part of her career, she did home health and had many long term elderly patients before retiring in 2010. Her heart was huge for all animals, she had many dogs especially chihuahuas over the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Laura Rusher; paternal grandparents Samuel and Sarah Rusher; maternal grandparents Benjamin and Lula Pace; brothers Larry Rusher and Billy Rusher; husband Jackie Bolt; three sons Jerry Dean, Billy Bolt, & Jack Bolt; grandsons Jerry Dean Jr, Christopher Bolt.

Shirley is survived by daughters Teresa Dean of Oklahoma City, Wanda Bolt of Moore, Sheri Bolt of Ormond, FL; and sons Elmer Bolt of Bowie, TX, Daniel Bolt of Oklahoma City; sister Cathy Rusher and brother Steve Rusher; and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
