Sherry went to be with the lord on December 4, 2015 from a long hard fight with breast cancer. She was born premature at 28 weeks on August 29, 1956 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Orres and Helen (Lipe) Carpenter. She lived in Holdenville where she met and married her wonderful husband, Billy Eaves on December 1, 1980 and had a fabulous life for 35 years. They moved to Norman, OK in 2000 and then to Utah in 2010. They later moved back to Oklahoma in 2012 and later made their home in Norman. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and sister-in-law.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Helen (Lipe) Carpenter of Holdenville; husband of 35 years, Billy James Eaves of the home. She is also survived by her son, Cody William Carpenter of the home; daughter, Kymberli Dawn (Eaves) Jensen; son-in-law, William James Jensen; granddaughter, Wynter Dawn Jensen; grandson, Jesse James Jensen, all of Oklahoma City; brothers, Terry Carpenter of Holdenville and Phillip Carpenter of Wewoka; mother-in-law, Joy (Jones) Eaves, sister-in-law, Lois (Eaves) Felder and brother-in-law, Patrick Eaves all of Denton, TX; uncle, Mickey Lipe of Shawnee; aunt, Donna Lipe of Holdenville; an extended family on both her mother and father's side and her husband's side as well; numerous nieces and nephews including her niece, Gina Carpenter, who is like a sister to her, as Gina lived with Sherry's parents from the time she was 1 and later adopted her and also her very best and dearest friend, Sherry (Brittain) House of Ft Smith, AR.

There is a family that was their next door neighbor at ChapelRidge Apartments in Norman that she and Billy liked to call their adopted daughter and grandchildren, Cheri Webb and her 4 children Carson, Chloe, Conner, and Ceaton.

She is preceded in death by her father, Orres “OW” Carpenter; maternal grandmother, Dolly (Jackson) Lipe; grandfather, Shorty Lipe; aunts, Katie Gilliam, Mary Lou Powell; uncle, William “Sonny” Lipe, her father-in-law E.A. Eaves and grandfather-in-law, Arthur “Jack” Eaves.

Her grandkids was the love of her life. She sure wanted to see them grow up and to see Wynter get married. Sherry had a loving heart as her niece Casey Carpenter said on Facebook, “Sherry was an amazing, giving person and the world was a better place because she was here. She always made sure every child she knew had Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, and she would never have anyone do without or go hungry”.

Sherry said over and over that she did not want to have a funeral, but to have a big party, with beer, booze, with singing and playing her favorite songs, and to celebrate her life by giving her a last big party with family and friends.

The Big Party (services) are pending at this time.
