Sheila "Jeannine" Yevette West

Sheila Yevette "Jeannine” West was the 7th child born to Melvin and Creamella West on March 7,1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She received her education from Luther High School where she graduated with honors. She submitted her life to Christ at an early age at Hillwood Baptist Church.

Sheila enjoyed being with family and friends. She was loving mother and grandmother and was always a joy to be around.

Her grandparents, parents and son Jerriel West preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Tyrone West and Destiny West; three granddaughters, Ahlayla, Aubrell, and Amiyah; six brothers, Valdis, Dean, Cezelle, Kevin (Lisa), and Melvin Jr., five sisters; Marla (Pete), Stephania, Deidra, Audrea, and Lonette; two aunts, Irene West and Ruby Lathan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

If roses grow Heaven Lord,

Please pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my mother’s arms

and tell her they're from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her,

and when she turns to smile,

Place kiss upon her cheek

and hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it everyday,

But there's an ache within my heart

that will never go away.
