Sharla Loyce (Harjo) Horner

Sharla Loyce (Harjo) Horner, Mustang resident, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of 52.

Sharla was born on January 16, 1973, to Leon Harjo and Oneida Lois (Meeks).

Born in Oklahoma City, Sharla grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma and attended Mustang High School. At the age of 14, she met the man she would later marry and have children with, Donald Horner. She grew up in Central Baptist Church where she accepted Jesus as her Savior was baptized in His name. She worked in hospitality (food service) for many years, which blessed her with many friends. She was widely known for her bright personality and loud cheerful laugh. Sharla never met a stranger and had a habit of turning friends into family. Whether you knew her for an hour or years, she always made sure you were cared for. She was so proud of all the kids and grandkids and loved sharing pictures of them, especially her eight grandbabies. She was a fantastic mother and grandmother. It didn’t matter if it was freezing or blazing, she would be in the stands for her babies and always made sure her cheers were the loudest. Always in the know of the current news of each child and grandchild. She loved to watch movies, tv shows, and YouTube. You would rarely ever catch her without something on to watch. She was an avid Sims 4 player: building and renovating houses in the game. She was also a solid Sonic the Hedgehog champ.

She is preceded in death by her father Leon Harjo.

Sharla is survived by her husband Donald Horner, daughters Holly (Eric) Cary & Katie (Robbie) Cotter, sons Donny (Leticia) & Shawn Horner, bonus son Matthew Hartley, grandchildren Eric, Nova, Phoenix, Rinoa, Cid, Seraphina, Damien, & Rubi, Mother Oneida Falls, twin sister Marla Flores, brothers Ty & Nathan Harjo, & Carmen Falls and a host of other family members & friends.

She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
