Was born March 20, 1968 in Colorado City, Texas and lived in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed away March 22, 2020.
Ruben was an extraordinary master builder, a carpenter. He had the imagination of the finished project before getting started. Ruben enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all spending time with his children and Grandchildren. Family gathering always put his mind at peace.
Survivors include his only son Ruben Cantu, Jr. and two daughters Marinda Marriah Cantu, Christian Rivera. Nine Grandchildren; Dante Krause Cantu, Rosalie Grace Cantu, David Jose Colin, Iminity Milliyon Jackson, Caydrian Brice Jackson, Christopher Sky Jackson, Chasen Crane Jackson, Braylee Rivera and Matthew Rivera, all from Colorado City, Texas. Ruben had one brother Roger Jr. and wife Debbie Cantu and two sisters Cynthia Cantu and Linda Cantu with four nieces, Monica Garcia, Stella Oyebi, Alissa Garcia and Victoria Garcia. Surviving uncles and aunts, George and Mary Cantu, Robert Cantu, Tony and Dora Alaniz, Ace and Alicia Gamboa and San Juanita Perez. First Cousins: David Cantu, Amy French, Isabel Cantu, Mary Alice Cantu Lara, Michael Cantu, Robert Cantu Jr., Arthur Juarez, Danny Cantu, Gabriel Cantu, Christina Cantu, Melissa Alaniz, Patricia Alaniz and Tony Alaniz.
Service will be held at Rock of Salvation Church in Loraine, Texas, Saturday, April 18th, 2020 10am- 3pm. Church Kitchen to serve food. Burial Will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery in Colorado City, Texas.
