Ronald Joe Whitlock

Ronald Joe Whitlock, lifelong Oklahoma City resident, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence at the age of 67.
He was born December 5, 1949 in Oklahoma City to Joseph and Vi (Grooms) Whitlock. Ron graduated from Classen High School in 1968. He later received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Ron enlisted into the US Army on September 15, 1969. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge on April 15, 1971.
Ron enjoyed watching OU Football and playing golf.
He is survived by his mother, Vi Whitlock; son, Nicholas Whitlock; daughter, Jennifer Whitlock; two grandsons, Evan and Cameron Whitlock; one sister, Barbara Higgins and a host of other family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Whitlock in 2015.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Britton Road Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Pastor Rick Belicek officiating.
Military honors will be rendered by Honoring American’s Warriors.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
