Robert LaVeran Green, Jr. passed away at the age of 72 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 28, 2021.
Robert was born to Harriett Artis and Robert Green, Sr. on September 21, 1948, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was one of eleven children. In 1965, he enlisted in The United States Army and served two tours defending our country in Vietnam. Robert received the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal, Vietnam Campaign medal, and Marksman pin. He was considered an expert in rifle and machine gun handling. Robert loved horses and spent many joyful years raising them. He could be described as a happy man while playing his guitar and he will be remembered mostly for enjoying his favorite pass time, watching westerns while drinking a Pepsi.
Robert is survived by his wife Stephanie Green, sons Robert LaVeran Green III and Steven Green and three daughters, brothers Buddy Artis, Kenneth Artis, Bobby, George Artis, Henry Artis, Dale, Nelson, and Irvine Green, sisters Betty Artis and Cherianna Artis, grandchildren Ronnie, Reggie, and Honesty.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harriett Artis and Robert Green, Sr.
