Paul Stanley Bolin, Jr., 81, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away November 13th due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Stan, as many knew him, spent the first part of his career as an engineer at Tinker Air Force Base until his experience in Vietnam as a civilian volunteer during the war forever changed his life. He dedicated the second half of his career to running a software business that taught English as a second language as part of his effort to give back to the Vietnamese people.
In his youth and spare time, he loved playing his trumpet and had the honor of serving as the bandleader for the Royalaires for several years. Stan was focused on making a difference in the world by “giving more than he got,” and he aimed to live that mission with the legacy he left through his children and work.
The family held private services. If you would like to share stories in an online memorial, please email Sabrina Bolin at storyofstanbolin@gmail.com.
In leu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan’s honor, towards Room to Read or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
