Patrick David McCain was born May 25, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He died unexpectedly April 2, 2024 at the age of 57 in Bethany, Oklahoma.
Patrick was hands on with work and recreation. He spent a good amount of his years working as an upholsterer. He loved his Choctaw tribe which was conveyed through making dream catchers and journey sticks. He spent countless days and months at the lake fishing, boating, and camping. His culinary skills were also of great talent, with a universal favorite dish being his Indian tacos.
Patrick was the man you called if you needed anything fixed. From cars to electronics to home repairs, he knew it. Or if he didn’t he shortly would thanks to internet videos. He took such joy in fixing the problem, and helping anyone, anytime.
Patrick had a way with children. He would get on their level and play and listen. Every niece and nephew has fond memories of laughter, crazy antics, and joy surrounding Uncle Stinky, affectionally called by many. He loved all kids and accepted those who weren’t even of direct relation.
In his later years, Patrick became the full-time caregiver of his father, Conrad Doty. He remodeled his home, made his dinners, took him to his appointments, and got him anything he needed.
He is preceded in death by his birth father Wayne McCain; mother Peggy Doty; brother Eddy McCain; sister Connie Doty; nephew Shane McCain; and son Jeremy McCain.
He is survived by his father, Conrad Doty; sons Daniel McCain and wife, Jody, Dallas McCain and wife, Danielle; six grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Drake and husband James; brother Darrell McCain and wife Teresa; sister Sheila Westphal; sister Rhonda McCain; sister Starlene White; brother Stacy McCain; brother Jay Doty and wife Andrina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Patrick will always be remembered with joy, laughter, and so much love.
