Norma Jean (McConnell) Taylor, longtime former Seminole County resident, passed away on February 1, 2024 at Inspire Specialty Hospital in Midwest City, OK at the age of 76.
Norma was born October 3, 1947 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Earl Columbus and Thelma Georgia (Blankenship) McConnell. She grew up in Wewoka and along with her family moved to Seminole. Norma married Jessie Webster Moore, Jr. on April 1, 1966 and he preceded her to death on May 14, 1997. She later married Larry Taylor on November 9, 2007 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2022. She worked at Wrangler in Seminole for over 20+ years. Norma enjoyed reading books, cooking and fishing and camping. Her grandchildren gave her much joy and she loved them dearly.
Surviving Norma are her two daughters, Stacie Holsey of Goldsby, Oklahoma and Lisa Moore of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Marvin McConnell of Lawton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Norma was also preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Thelma McConnell; two sons, Tony Moore and Justin Moore and other siblings.
Funeral services for Norma will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 at OK Cremation & Funeral Chapel, Oklahoma City.
A viewing will be held prior to the service at 12:00 on Tuesday.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
