Nancy C. Givings

Nancy C. Givings was born April 22, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Floyd C. and Nancy (Shaver) Givings. She passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at her residence in Oklahoma City.

Nancy “Noochie” was preceded in death by her father, Floyd C. Givings, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Nancy (Shaver) Givings; children, Maurice S. Givings and Lesheka L. Givings, Elder sister, Andrea D. Givings; Elder brothers, Floyd C. Givings, Jr and Anthony M. Givings; two granddaughters, Tiyanna M. Givings and Nygei A. Givings, all of Oklahoma City; Nancy’s best friend, Rita Atkinson and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends too numerous to list.

Nancy was baptized at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church. Later in life, she converted to Islam and became a follower of Mohammad. She attended Seminole Junior College, where she studied criminal law, Nancy was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She was a defender of the underdog and stood firm in her beliefs. Nancy had a love and talent for music, she played the drums, keyboard and singing.

Although we mourn the physical separation, we know her spirit resides with each and every person she touched. Nancy loved life and living to the fullness that life had to offer. The family would like to thank each and every person who expressed their love for Nancy. Even through their grief.
