Mildred Ellen (Sherman) Thomas

Mildred Ellen Thomas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

She was born in Calumet, Oklahoma on April 23,1933 to George and Jewel Sherman. She lived in Arizona for five years while her dad worked for the WPA, and then the family moved back to Calumet, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life at the Comet Skating Rink and was married to Earl Wayman Thomas on October 28, 1960. They celebrated 62 wonderful years together. Mildred was completely devoted to her family and chose to become a homemaker to raise their four children. She enjoyed serving the Lord and was very active at church in the children's ministry. 

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Earl Thomas, parents George & Jewel Sherman, brothers C.E, Ray, Jesse, & Johnnie Sherman, and sister Carol Killian.

She is survived by her children Cynthia (Tom) Wolfe, Earl (Joyce) Thomas, Millie (Bobby) Payne, and Theresa (James) Fry, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, & her sisters Shirley Morphis, Loreda, Georgie, and Juanita Sherman.

While we mourn her passing on earth, we celebrate in the knowledge she has everlasting life in Jesus Christ the Lord.
