Maximillian “Max” Richard Pfeifer passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 24.
Max was born May 21, 1999 in Rochester, Minnesota to Eric Pfeifer and Margaret (Long). He graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester in 2017 where he played soccer. Max attended Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota where he joined the OTE Fraternity. Max met his future wife Kaitlyn while attending college at Bemidji. They would later move to his hometown, Rochester. Max and his best friend, Brice Kukuzke grew a strong bond as best friends. Max and Kaitlyn later moved to Oklahoma in 2020 to seek better opportunities for themselves. Max attended Francis Tuttle Technology Center and graduated from the Automotive Service Technology Program. He made many friends while attending Francis Tuttle and would often make funny TikTok videos. Max would later become an extraordinary automotive technician for Bob Moore Audi. There he would make even more irreplaceable bonds with his co-workers.
Max and Kaitlyn were married on May 4, 2024 which is fitting for such a huge Stars Wars fan, thanks to his father and uncle Richard. Max had an absolute passion for cars and enjoyed his time with his dad working on them. Some of his other interests early in life were archery, knife throwing and target shooting. He always loved playing video games from his first Nintendo DS to his Series X. He was always trying to convince his sister Mary to split the cost of the latest console and would play it so much that she would never get a chance to play. From an early age, Max would go to bed early when he was ready no matter what was going on. That stayed true through his life-if he was tired, he was going to bed! Most of all, Max loved to have fun. He always enjoyed having bonfires with his friends and spending time with them. He was always very social and made friends easily, even with kids in other grades and schools. He enjoyed going to camp at Camp Pepin in Minnesota and later became a counselor there. Max also loved his pets including his childhood dog, Zeppel.
Surviving Max are his wife, Kaitlyn and fur babies, Mama, Muffin, Frank, Asche, and Julius; his mother, Dr. Margaret “Peggy” Long; his father, Dr. Eric Pfeifer; two sisters, Helen Pfeifer and Mary Pfeifer; aunts and uncles, Monique VanderMarck, Rich Long, Steve Windham, Ruth Windham, Stephanie Neff, Scott Neff; cousins, Sophia and Alexa Long, Maddie and Dawson Windham and Hannah and Heidi Neff and a host of other family and friends.
Max was preceded in death by his grandparents, C. Richard and Laura Long and Gerhard and Wilma Pfeifer.
