Matthew Brian Cone

Matthew Brian Cone passed away at Seminole Emergency Room on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 53 years.

Matt is the son of Karen & Bob Cone, born on January 27, 1972, in Lockney, Texas. He was raised by Karen and John Richardson. His early childhood was spent in Maud until at age 18. He moved to Seminole then later on to Wewoka, then back to Seminole. He graduated from Maud High School in 1990. He married Elizabeth Katherine "Dutchess" Curry on January 30, 1993, at a reception hall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked at Apollo Oil Tools, then went on to make his own business, Cone Tool in 2005.

Matt enjoyed playing piano, motorcycle riding, boat riding, watching movies and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He also enjoyed reminiscing about the good ole days. He was the running back #23 in Maud won everything but state and also played the piano in a band called Permanent Issue.

He is preceded in death by his mom and step father, Karen and John Richardson, and his grandparents Marie and Ray Posey.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Cone of the home, two sons Caleb Cone (Emma Lukacsko) and son Collin Cone (Robin Griffin) all of Seminole; several nieces and nephews and numerous other family members, and many friends.
