Mary Lou (Burleson) Burleson-Thomas
November 22, 1961 — June 7, 2016
Mary Lou Burleson-Thomas ended her long fight with Multiple Sclerosis on June 7, 2016.
She was born in Brenham, Texas to William David (Bill) Burleson and Lucille (Lanford) Burleson on November 22, 1961.
She graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City in 1980.
She married Tim Thomas in 1989 and in 1998 had two children, Taylor Matthew and Tyler Kaitlyn, who were the joy of her life.
She was a Certified Property Manager, a field she described as “Adult Day Care”, and worked at various companies managing business properties.
Preceded in death by her parents, William David (Bill) Burleson and Lucille (Lanford) and grandparents Roy and Lovie (Morehead) Burleson and Kinch and Sophie (Meeks) Lanford.
Survived by Tim Thomas, son Taylor Thomas and daughter Tyler Thomas of Bethany, Oklahoma, brother Jim (Rhonda) Burleson, sister Sandra (Drew) Carter, and brother Richard (Gina) Burleson, nephew Troy (Melissa) Burleson, nephews Brad (Nancy) Burleson, and Stephen Reynolds, niece Krystal Burleson, and great-nephews Braden Burleson and Hunter Wagner Reynolds.
She will be remembered for her laughter and kindness.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, June 13, 2016 at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
