Mark Edwin Pearson, 66, passed away at home on February 20, 2025. He was born on July 8, 1958, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, the cherished son of Barbara and Paul Pearson. Mark grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School. He went on to build a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.
Mark was married to Toni Beatty Pearson, the love of his life, for 45 wonderful years. Together, they raised two children, Eric Pearson and Brittney Herrmann, who were his greatest pride and joy. Mark was a man of many passions. He loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and cheering on his OSU Cowboys. However, he was happiest working outdoors, especially driving the bulldozer on the Beatty Family Farm, where he found true peace. Mark was also an animal lover, always showing kindness and care to the pets and animals in his life. A highly skilled ASE-certified mechanic, Mark earned multiple awards throughout his career. He dedicated many years of service to the City of Bethany and Warr Acres before retiring from the City of Warr Acres, where he was respected for his work ethic and expertise.
Mark is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Shadid; his son, Eric Pearson, and granddaughter Erica Lynn; his daughter, Brittney Herrmann, and her husband Richie, along with their son Gracin; his sister, Cindy Falkenstein, and her husband Chuck, along with their daughter Jennifer; and, above all, his beloved wife and soulmate, Toni Pearson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Edwin Pearson, his brother, Tony Pearson, and his grandparents.
