Maream Mandy May Butler

Maream Mandy May Butler, longtime Seminole resident, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at her residence in Seminole at the age of 41.

Maream was born January 26, 1984 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Cynthia Butler and Troy Abunasrah. She attended Shawnee Public Schools. She later attended beauty school and was a cosmetologist for several years. She loved doing hair for her customers. Maream also loved the outdoors, being in the sun and going to the lake. She also enjoyed coloring. One of Maream’s greatest joys were her jojos (her kids). She was a loving and giving person who always enjoyed helping people.

Surviving Maream are her mother, Cynthia Butler; son, Jode Cogburn, daughter, Jordan Cogburn; brother, Jamal Butler along with three other brothers; niece, Elyza Butler and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lois Butler and Jack Butler.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Little Cemetery in Seminole, OK.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jode Cogburn, James Edwards, Jamal Butler, Drew Knox, Matt Chastain and Josh Chastain. Honorary pall bearer will be Wendell Chastain.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
