Lonnie Wayne Payne

Lonnie Wayne Payne passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at SSM St. Anthony’s Hospital-Midtown in Oklahoma City at the age of 62.

Lonnie was born February 24, 1962 in Tulia, Texas to Lonnie Elector Payne and Rita Fay (Edwards). He worked for the railroad in Texas and later owned and operated his own lawn care business. Lonnie enjoyed dirt roading, fast cars, and listening to country music and dancing. He always looked forward to hanging out with his great nieces and nephews and loved his dog, Scratch.

Surviving Lonnie are his mother, Rita Northcross; son, Micah Payne and his children; brother, Larry Payne and his children, Douglas, Laura, Larissa and Leslie; sister, Lisa Almand and her children, Kacyn and Kyle; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Tony Hinojosa and children, LeAndra, Kristin and her husband Gary; Josh, Jeremiah and his wife Delanie; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Payne, maternal grandparents, Roy and Olene Edwards and paternal grandparents, Buck and Skeet Payne.

Memorial services for Lonnie will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Charity Ministries Church in Chandler, OK.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
