Lizmanelle "Ronek" (Lumpkin) Lumpkin

Liza “Ronek” Lumpkin was born in Lawton Oklahoma on October 25, 1981, to Marian Williams and Louis Doc Lumpkin. As a young child, her mother nurtured and instilled Christ in her life which she carried on throughout her lifetime. She attended Oklahoma City Public School and began her work experience as an ‘enormously passionate’ Cook and Caregiver, who valued and placed pride in her work efforts.

“Ronek”, as she was affectionately called, was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, three grandchildren, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend! She was very ‘family oriented’ and loved to gather the family together for barbeques and family night! She was always the ‘life of the party’ and so full of life and laughter; her flare for cooking motivated her to prepare “All Smiles No Frowns” salads and dinners, a phrase that she coined and utilize to the fullest! To know her meant, you had an encouraging friend for life! She placed her faith in God, trusting Him for everything!

Liza departed this life on January 13, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis D. Lumpkin and stepmother, Melody Lumpkin.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marian Miller, two children: De’Asia M. Lumpkin (Kentrell) and Elijah A. Carter (Qua’Shanna); three grandchildren: Jaceon D. Mustin, Kentrell J. & Khalani A. Taylor, all of Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers: James L. Williams, Clarence D. Williams (Monica), Oklahoma City, OK & Alonzo Verge of Chicago, IL; three sisters: Tanya M. Carter (Aaron); Belle J. Hubbard (Leonard); of Oklahoma City, OK and Tachelle Dunford-Eurie (Bryan) of Oregon; sister-cousins, Crystal Lumpkin & Maya Wade; close friend, Tiffany Hamilton; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and special friends whom she loved and adored.
