Kellie Jean (Kaul) Cooper

Kellie Cooper, 41, of Oklahoma City, passed into Heaven December 31, 2015, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. She was a warrior!

Kellie was born August 21, 1974 in Fridley, MN, to Joyce and AlRay Kaul. When she was 3, the family relocated to Edmond and then two years later to Blanchard, OK, where she grew up with horses, dogs, cats and rabbits. She graduated as a "lifer" from Blanchard High School in 1992. It was during junior high that she met the love of her life, Cory Cooper. They married September 2, 1995 and moved briefly to Odessa, TX, where Cory would become a police officer. They moved back to OKC and had two sons, Grant, 16, and Chase, 11. Her husband and boys were the center of her universe. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother, and their happiness was her priority and her greatest joy.

Kellie loved painting and crafting, reading, playing games, shopping, watching movies and traveling. She loved the ocean and animals. She volunteered at her children's schools and with animals. She was a true friend.

Kellie was preceded in death by her daddy, Al, who, it's certain, welcomed her into Heaven with open arms in a glorious reunion! She was also preceded in death by her godmother, Alice Ingalls; her grandparents, Ruth and Richard Thompson and Orma and Walter Kaul and her father-in-law, Doyle "Bud" Cooper.

Kellie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Cory; sons, Grant and Chase; her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Larry Trumbo of Blanchard; two sisters, Kim Veenker of Oklahoma City and Kris Kaul of Jenks and a multitude of other family members and friends who will miss both her inner and outer beauty terribly.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western, OKC, 73170. Visitation/reception at the church will begin at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Cory and the boys via Kellie's GoFundMe page. www.https://www.gofundme.com/n8b9hhtw/#
