Judy Kay (May) Collier

Judy Kay (May) Collier, longtime Wewoka resident, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 70.

Judy was born on August 9, 1946 in Wetumka to Andrew Jackson “Buster” and Flossie (Pruitt) May.  She attended Wetumka and Moss Public Schools.

Judy married William “Bill” Collier on November 26, 1963 in Seminole and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1997. She was a teacher’s aide at New Lima Public Schools for several years. Judy loved telling jokes and was always the life of the party. She loved her family so much and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.

She is survived by her children, Tina Mosley and husband Mark of Wewoka, Donnie Collier and Sherry Ervin of Lamar; special friend, J.R. Dodson; three grandchildren, Heath Mosley and wife Jessica, Melissa Martin and husband Jesse and Dillion “DJ” Collier; three great-grandchildren, Jaxie Martin, Bentley Collier and Mickey Mosley; one brother, Jerry May of Claremore; sisters, Obie Osborn of Wetumka, Claudetta Tapley and husband Bob of Emory, Texas, Janie Mize and husband Wayne of Earlsboro, Ladonna Nutter and husband Jim, Jeanie Jones and husband Gerald, and Mary Brawdy and husband Ron, all of Seminole; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Maye of Seminole and Carolyn May of Shawnee; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Osborn of Wetumka  and Dan Whittern and wife Laverne of Stigler, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Judy was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Devoe Maye in 1995; Roger May in 2003 and two sisters, Barbara Whittern in 1999 and Shirley Osborn in 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Wewoka with Reverend Chris Baker officiating.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home and Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
