John Matthew Wishon

John Matthew Wishon, 67, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Madill, Oklahoma. Born on November 10, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John lived a life filled with dedication to his work, love for his family, and a passion for the outdoors.

John built a long and respected career, working at Locke Supply for 23 years as a warehouse supervisor and yard supervisor. He later dedicated 16 years of service to the Chickasaw Nation as a security supervisor. His strong work ethic and leadership left a lasting impact on those he worked with throughout the years.

Beyond his professional life, John found joy in spending time with family and friends. He had a deep love for golfing and fishing—pastimes that brought him both relaxation and camaraderie. He also cherished traveling, especially taking cruises and spending time at the beach, where he could unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.

John is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Wishon; his sister Gloria Wishon-Allison and her husband Billy of Midwest City, OK; his son Troy Rash and wife Kimiko of San Antonio, TX; his daughters Michelle Wishon-Bousman and husband Steven of Dunkirk, IN; Courtney Hawthorne and husband Mike of Madill, OK; Brittany Parnell and husband Nick of Ardmore, OK; and Kaley Schiemann and her fiancé Casey of Madill, OK. He was also blessed with 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Violet Curtis Wishon and Kenneth Wishon, as well as his son Terry Rash.

John’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who loved him.
