Jessie Jimmy Cruz passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at SSM St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 43.
He was born June 2, 1978 in Altus, Oklahoma to Presentacio Orquizo De La Cruz and Enriqueta Gonzales Cruz. Jessie worked as a welder for Downing Energy. Jessie loved his music from cumbias/hip hop/country to rock. Along with music he enjoyed dancing. Jessie loved to barbeque, going to the casino, watching Oklahoma Sooners football and was the life of the party. He never let anything bother him and always had a smile one his face. He was always a comedian trying to make people laugh. Jessie was a hard working man and made sure he did his best to provide for his family. When it came to ideas, he was determined to accomplish them. Everybody that knew Jessie knew that he was loved by all his familia, friends and co-workers.
Survivors include his wife Cindy Cruz; his parents, Presentacio Orquizo De La Cruz and Enriqueta Gonzales Cruz; his kids, Angelica Cruz, Jessica Cruz, Vanessa Vega, Jessica Vega Jose Cruz, Josiah Cruz and Sparkles; his siblings, John Cruz, Robert Cruz, Mathew Cruz, Betty Ross, Nancy Choate, Steve Cruz, Xavier Cruz and Joe Cruz; grandchildren, Aaliyah Sandoval, Sereniti Armendariz, Alexander Cadena, Aaron Cadena; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Jessie Cruz Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Midwest Blvd. Christian Church, 320 N. Midwest Blvd, Midwest City.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
