Jerry Don Sconce, longtime Bethany resident, passed away April 29, 2016 in Fall River, Kansas at the age of 68.
He was born December 13, 1947 in Durango, CO to Elbert Lee “Abb” and Lena Pearl (Dossey) Sconce.
Jerry graduated from Putnam City High School on May 25, 1967. Two days later, he married Linda Mae Campbell in Bethany.
Jerry owned and operated Ace Printing Company for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his boys and grandchildren. Jerry enjoyed sports, especially coaching and supporting youth sports. He was a lifetime member of the Turkey Federation. One of Jerry’s most prized traits was his willing to do anything for anyone.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda of the home; sons, Jimmy Don Sconce and wife Stacye of Norman and Jeffrey Don Sconce and wife Shelly of Yukon; grandchildren, Dakotah Sconce, Rhyann Sconce, Mackenzie Sconce and Hunter Sconce; one brother, Junior Sconce and his wife Chris of Decatur, TX; one sister, Sue Stitt and husband Paul of Yukon; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abb and Lena Sconce and one sister, Barbara Mangan.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Bethany with Reverend Jim Hill officiating.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
