James Wesley Hollingsworth

James Wesley Hollingsworth was born April 3, 1979, in Duncan, OK and passed away in Oklahoma City, OK surrounded by family and friends on August 25, 2024.

James was a wonderful husband, father and friend to all that knew him. He was married to his wife, April, on October 12, 2002, and they had spent 22 wonderful years together. He was a 1997 graduate of Fox Schools and had a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Computer Science. James was a proud US Navy Veteran and in the last few years, taught Technology classes for Traice Academy, a part of Tulsa Public Schools. He loved going camping, flying his drone, traveling, and being with his family and friends. 

James was the proud father of his two children, Alexander and Jessica. He passed on his love of music and marching band to them with his son playing the trumpet and his daughter playing the flute. As a family, they shared many travels and experiences together. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Barbara Hollingsworth; sisters Michele Himelright and Mylynda Stout.

He is survived by his wife, April; children, Alexander and Jessica; brother in love Brian Himelright; parents in love, Billy and Margie Cloud; Sisters in love Carlotta Keyser, Michelle (Donnie) Brown and Amy (Rob) Beaird; brother in love, Billy Cloud Jr. (Sarah); Nieces, Danyel Mincey (Brady), Cheyenne Swindler(Dalton), Elizabeth Roane (Josh), Amber Smith, and Atlis Brit; Nephews, Micheal Waller(Whitney Hatley), Austin Smith (Kaitlin), Ryan Jacobs, and Justin Jacobs (Madalyn); uncle in love Don Sisson; Great Nieces and Nephews, Jaxon, Creager, Cashlee, Macy, Noah, Nova, Brier, Waylon, Isabella, Winry, Logan, Abigail, Ruby Ann, and Hudson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn McPherson, Laci Holladay, Russell Hidalgo, Bonnie Bracken and Mikele Phillips.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
