Jacqueline Lea (Ladd) Penwright passed away on January 24, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79.
Jackie was born on May 19, 1944, to Jack David & Theda Ladd in El Reno, Oklahoma.
She was a headstrong woman that was known for having a colorful personality and generous spirit. Jackie was an avid sports fan supporting OU Basketball, Football, & Softball, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Oklahoma City Blazers. She even went as far as “adopting” the Blazers players and treating them as family during the holidays when they could not be with their own. She also cheered for the Denver Broncos if only for the fact that John Elway used to play for them. Her all-time favorite team was whatever team/sports her grandchildren were playing on. She adored cheering and rooting for whatever her grandchildren were doing. Being a grandma gave her immense joy in life.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and her son Gregory Penwright.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Nicole (Danny) Wilkerson, grandchildren Emmalea (Maurice) McKenzie, Danielle (Matthew) McGouldrick, Megan Wilkerson, Jamie Wilkerson, Steven (Ashley) Wilkerson, & Jordan (Corey) Penwright, greatgrandchildren Tre & Maxon McKenzie, Elijah Edwards, Madison (T.J.) Wright, Braxton & Devyn Wilkerson, Emma, Blair, Tinsley, & Sadie Penwright, and great-greatgrandchildren Eden & Rowyn Wright.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
