Oklahoma City

Ian Tali, 43 left us on March 6, 2025. He was born in to this life July 14, 1982 in Hawthorne, Los Angeles, California. He couldn’t wait to enter into this world, arriving as a preemie at 3 pounds 11 ounces.

Ian liked eating any dish at any time, he didn’t have a favorite just as long as it was food and cooked well. In his formative years, he attended Oklahoma City public schools. He played basketball, always lending a hand to the janitor, and volunteering his time helping with fundraisers. He graduated from the Buffalo Solider program of self-worth, discipline and service to others while interacting with horses and K-9s. He was chosen as the flag bearer and given the title “Trooper Tali”. His best dress were blue and gray cowboy boots with a pair of 1970’s basketball shorts and a stripe polo shirt. He was a collector of athletic memorabilia cards regardless of the sport. He was baptized at an early age at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

Ian is preceded in death by his uncles Matt, Viney, Harvey L. Knox, Pastor Suffragan Bishop Delbert E. Johnson, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Dolene, brother Lee, son Noah who was his pride and joy, aunt Vett & Shelia, cousins Larry Alexander, Tramond, Brandi, Marcus, Missy, Maquiel, Damien, Diamond, and a host of other family members and friends.
