Helen Marie Cunkle
January 26, 1945 — October 8, 2015
Helen Marie Cunkle, Oklahoma City resident, passed away October 8, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age 70.
She was born January 26, 1945 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania to Jacob and Mary (Kovach) Hassaj.
She married William J. “Bill” Cunkle and was married for over 32 years.
Helen worked in Accounts Payable for the City of Oklahoma City for 30 years.
She loved gardening, fishing, cooking, feeding the birds, going to church and singing in the choir and most important, taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She was a caring and thoughtful woman who was mom to the neighborhood kids when her children were growing up and she loved them all very much. She also was a loving mother to many four-legged animals especially her kitty cat Gracie that she is now with again.
Helen is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Cunkle ; two daughters, Debbi & Andrew Lucas and Millie Reese & William Cox; Stepson, Greg Cunkle; brothers, Jacob and Carol Hassaj and Paul and Carolyn Hassaj; sisters, Rose Marie Brozena, Margaret Kaminsky and Mary Ward; many nieces, nephews and a host other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Marty officiating.
