Ferlando "Speedy" LaDon Nichols

August 15, 1979 — October 1, 2022

Oklahoma City

Speedy was born on August 15, 1979 to De-Lois (Nichols) Coleman and Henry "Donnie" Clay Walters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was the youngest of three and was called home on October 1, 2022.

Growing up Speedy was a very curious child and would always get into trouble with his cousins and siblings. After school Speedy attended Job Core studying the culinary arts and fueled his love of food. You could always have a good time with Speedy talking sports "Denver Broncoa", video games and Music.

Speedy leaves behind his mother De-Lois (Ronald) Coleman, brother Turk Nichols, stepbrother Ronald Coleman, Jr., and sisters Lee-Lee Nichols, Dawnique Walters, & Juanita Walters, sons Ferlando Nichols, Jr., & Donnelle Nichols, & daughter Desiree Pece, two aunts, two uncles, and a host of cousins, friends, nieces and nephews.

Written by his daughter, Desiree:

God saw him getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered, "Come to Me", with tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him slowly fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only I could have you back for just a little while. Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will too. The fact that you're no longer here will always cause me pain, but you're in my heart until we meet again. God called your name so softly, that only you could hear. And no one heard the angels drawing near. The golden gates stood open; God saw you needed rest. His garden must be beautiful because he only takes the best. So those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever deared.
