Doyle Wayne Willis, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Grady and Dora Willis. After graduating high school, Doyle enlisted into the United States Army where he served his country proudly and received an honorable discharge on January 2nd 1967.
Doyle was a successful business owner of Doyle Willis Landscaping for many years in Oklahoma City. Doyle loved taking something from nothing and turning it into a beautiful masterpiece. He also loved driving dune buggies at the desert and floating down the river. If he was not found at the desert he would most likely be at the lake in his boat.
Doyle loved the OU Sooners and enjoyed watching OU play in his garage, where he could smoke and also drink his favorite glass of whiskey.
Doyle is survived by his sons Dwayne Willis and his wife Kelli of Miami, FL, son Duke Willis and his wife Helen of Oklahoma City, OK, son Richard Willis and his wife Amanda of Austin, TX and son Chad Martz and his wife Ashly of Wichita Falls, TX. Grandchildren Tara, Corey, Carson, Calen, Lauren, Gabrielle, Logan, Gracey and Maddox. He was also survived by his brother Don Willis and his wife Geri of Oklahoma City, OK and sister Linda Flanery of Oklahoma City, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents and brother Stevie Willis.
A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, September 24th from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m. at. OK Cremation and Funeral Home. Burial will follow on Friday, September 25th at 1:00 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
