Cody Brandon Parsons, 36 passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and wit that will forever be cherished.

Born in Texas and raised in Oklahoma, Cody was a proud graduate of Westmoore High School, where his charismatic personality and passion for life shone brightly. After high school, his journey into the world of banking began.

Cody's life was evident in his unwavering love for sports. From the games of the Texas Rangers and the Oklahoma City Thunder to his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys (especially when they were winning), his heart beat for the thrill of all the sports he could watch. Above all, his love and loyalty for the Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Stars knew no bounds, bringing him immeasurable joy throughout his life.

Outside of sports, Cody found solace and joy in the serenity of lake life, an undying love for the rhythm of loud music turned up to its maximum volume, and the simple pleasures of sharing a Coors Light among friends. His sharp wit and sarcastic humor were his trademarks, lighting up every room he entered and leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Cody's magnetic personality drew people toward him. He leaves behind a host of cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and joy.
He is survived by his wife, Alina, and his son, Grantley. He will be deeply missed by his father, Billy, and his significant other, Carolyn; his mother, Tami, and stepfather, Monte; his siblings, Billy, Chelsey, and Devin, along with their spouses and children; his grandmother, Opal Parsons; his aunt, Teresa Thomas; numerous cousins, dear friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by his presence.

Cody's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the countless memories and the laughter he shared with everyone. He will forever be remembered for his spirit, the ability to draw people in, and that big smile he brought to every room. Cody's passing underscores the silent struggles of mental health that so many face. The family hopes his story will shed light on the importance of addressing mental health challenges with compassion and understanding.

Though Cody’s absence leaves a void, may his smile, laughter, and love for Tom Petty resonate forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
