Carroll Glenn Knight was born on December 17, 1959 in Pampa, Texas to Glenn and Mildred Knight. He passed away in his home on June 12, 2024 in Oklahoma City @ 8pm at the age of 64.
Carroll was a widower of a nearly 32 year marriage to the love of his life Patricia “Pat” Knight, who also passed away in their home on August 17, 2023. So, she was there to welcome him home with open arms.
Carroll had many accomplishments through out his life. One of which was putting in the time, effort, and patience to become an eagle scout. This is where he learned to always be prepared, so he was always ready with his pocket knife or a good knot.
Another proud accomplishment of his was not just surviving his “colorful” youth choices, but being a proud big brother and keeping his stubborn sisters, especially his baby sister, alive through theirs.
He graduated from Pampa High School In 1978, then graduated from Platt college with a drafting degree. He proceeded to turn that into a successful career with Arinc and Northrup Gruman that made him very proud.
Carroll had his first marriage where he became a father. Afterwards he embarked on new adventures that lead to meeting the love of his life Pat. Both having sons when they married, they lived a life full of adventures and memories. Later in life they turned those adventures into making stories with their traveling. They had a full life filled with love.
Carroll loved Louis L’Amour novels, old western movies, his family and spending time with them, Oilers/Texans football, his cardiac cows(UT longhorns), talking trash, and making people laugh. He was a proud father, a proud husband, an exceptionally proud grandfather, a wonderful father in-law, and an amazing brother.
When he and his wife both began to decline in health, they made a pact that they would pass at home together. Pat went to get ready, while Carroll stayed long enough to make sure their sons would be ok. Then he peacefully went to meet his wife as they planned.
He is survived by his son Jeremy Knight and wife Ashley. And Grandchildren Nolan and Alixandria. His Son Jon “Wyatt” Langley and his wife Connie and her son Connor. His 2 sisters Pam Dalton and Cheryl Orr and her husband John. His mother Mildred Knight as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His 2 basset hounds, Daisy May and SpeedBump, AKA Speedy. Whom he loved as though they were his children.
