Billie Dale Rice

Billie Dale (Moseley) Rice, 76, of Pittsburg, Oklahoma walked from this earth on February 5, 2024.

Billie was the daughter of George and Virgie (Turner) Moseley. Billie was born in Stringtown on August 21, 1947. She attended school at Weathers in a one room schoolhouse until the age of 12, she then attended school at Pittsburg. Later in life Billie returned to school at ECU to obtain her GED as well as a welding certification. 

Billie married Jackie Rice on February 7, 1964. Together they had 4 children. Billie enjoyed life and being surrounded by family. She was an avid reader and loved going arrowhead hunting. Even in her later years it was said, “If anyone is tough it’s her, she would go bear hunting with a switch.”

Billie was proceeded in death by her parents, George and Virgie Mosely; two children, Tina Rose and Betty June; one grandchild, Hailey June; and five siblings, Allen, George, Edna, Dewayne and Jimmy.

Survivors include: Two daughters, Jackie Lynn and Sherry Davis and husband Gary; grandchildren, Callie Woolsey, Sable Whitacre and husband Ryan, Lacey Campbell and husband Mike, Jewel Davis, Steven Ingle and wife Jordyn, and Bailey Ingle; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Kenny White, Mike Campbell, Ryan Whitacre, Cason Bynum, Benny Allen, and Chris Gandy.
