Benjamin "Benny" Thomas Gresham

Benjamin “Benny” Thomas Gresham, Oklahoma City resident, passed away October 11, 2015 at the age of 19.
He was born July 23, 1996 in Oklahoma City to Peter and Amy (Burba) Gresham. Benny graduated from Putnam City Original (PCO) and from the Criminal Justice Program at Francis Tuttle. He was a full time student at the University of Central Oklahoma. Benny was a part time sales associate at GNC.
Benny was truly a gift from God. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Benny believed in giving 100% all the time with great focus and determination. He always pushed others to better themselves and accepted NO EXCUSES! He loved exercising, lifting and training. He could often be found at the gym pushing himself to the next level , or just blowing off some stress. He was inspiring to all and we soaked up every second of joy and happiness that he brought to us.
Benny was a relaxed and laid back person. He was very disciplined, determined, responsible, confident, kind and caring. He has also been described by many as charming, extremely handsome and a little bit dangerous! Benny was extremely adventuresome and enjoyed snowboarding, skydiving, mountain biking, hiking and air soft guns. He loved the ocean and dreamed of living in California one day. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, especially around a fire. Also, the boy could EAT!
Benny had seven years training in Mixed Martial Arts. He was a 1st Stripe Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was an undefeated cage fighter having won four Junior and One Amateur Cage Fights.
We are so thankful he had authentic friendships and many mentors that touched his life. His favorite quote and first tattoo was “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.”
Benny loved his beautiful girlfriend, Emily Young. She held his heart and he was dedicated to her always.
In addition to Emily, Benny is also survived by his parents, Peter and Amy of the home; brother Joe and sister Molly; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with Bob Holland officiating.
