Barbara Donell (Clifton) Parsons

Barbara Donell (Clifton) Parsons, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her home in Seminole at the age of 71 surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born December 11, 1953 In Olton, Texas to Haskell and Lois (Bell) Clifton. She graduated from Antlers High School Class of 1972. This is the year that she met the love of her life, Gaylan Parsons. The two became inseparable and were married on November 26, 1973. They made their home in Oklahoma City and eventually moved to the Newalla area. After three years, they decided they wanted to move to the country, so they moved to their forever home in Seminole. They became part of the Pleasant Grove Comets Community, a community like no other. Their three boys went to school at Pleasant Grove and played all the sports that were offered. Barbara never missed a single game or a chance to support her boys. She was so proud that all her boys graduated from PG, just like their dad.

Barbara loved being a wife and mother but graduated to grandma in 1998. This opened a whole new world of change and fun. She loved all her grandkids and would be outside with her wagon and grandbabies playing in the yard or sleeping in the hammock. Barbara loved the outdoors, especially her garden and flowerbeds. She took great pride in her beautiful yard.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of the home, Gaylan “Gale” Parsons; sons, Clifton Parsons and wife Jennifer of Seminole, Joel Parsons and wife Mallissa of Seminole and Gaylan Parsons and April Harjo of Seminole.

Also surviving Barbara are her grandchildren, Madison and Matthew Wyrick, Brayden Parsons, Kayla Parsons, Kaitlyn Parsons, Adam Cummings, Nick Archer, Allie and Mitchell Helms and Zack Archer; one great grandchild, Kayson Wyrick; Barbara’s brothers and sister, Bob Clifton and wife Anita of Antlers, Brenda Clifton of Rattan, and Brad Bell and wife Arlene of Antlers and a host of other family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Haskell Clifton and mother, Lois Bell.
